When It Matters Most, There Should Be No Doubt

Prisidio Introduces New Verified Identity Protection for Digital Vault Access

If something happened tomorrow, would the right person be able to step in without confusion or delay? For many people, the answer isn’t as clear as they think.

You might have sensitive, personal documents and important details saved. Accounts listed. Instructions written down. But in the moment it actually matters, when someone needs to access everything, you’re relying on something fragile:

Assumption.

Assumption that the right person can access what’s needed.
Assumption that nothing will slow them down.
Assumption that trust alone is enough.

At Prisidio, we recognize the responsibility that comes with protecting and organizing people’s most important information. That responsibility shows up not just in what we build but in how we build it, and the partners we choose along the way.

“Identity-related fraud and misuse remain one of the most common types of fraud reported in the U.S.”1

Where Access Can Break Down

Access isn’t just about what you store. It’s about who can step in and how confidently they can do it. And that’s where gaps can appear:

  • Access is granted, but not always verified
  • Roles are assigned, but not always confirmed
  • And when the time comes, uncertainty can creep in

Not because people made a mistake, but because the system never removed doubt in the first place.

This becomes especially important at one of the most critical moments: upon the passing of a vault owner, when access to their information is needed most. Without clarity and verification, there’s a risk of delays, confusion or even losing track of important information altogether.

“Most security breaches involve a human element; like errors, misuse, or compromised credentials.”2

Prisidio x CLEAR® Identity Verification

Beginning immediately, when you invite a Co-Owner (the person who can see everything and do anything in a vault today) or Keyholder® (the person who will have full access to a vault after the passing of the vault owner) to your vault, that person will be asked to verify their identity before gaining access. The verification happens directly within the Prisidio app, creating a seamless and secure experience that sets a new standard for protecting sensitive documents and details.

To power this capability, Prisidio has integrated with CLEAR, the secure identity platform used by millions of Americans across travel, healthcare, sports, and financial services. Once a Co-Owner or Keyholder completes identity verification through CLEAR, the vault owner sees the CLEAR verification badge on that person's profile card in the ‘People’ tab within Prisidio — giving them immediate, visible confidence that the people they’ve invited into their vault in these critical roles have had their identity verified.

The verification layer also applies at the vault release which happens upon the passing of the owner of the Prisidio vault, ensuring that identity is confirmed not just at invitation but at the critical moment when the vault is being transitioned.

No guesswork.
No ambiguity.
Greater clarity when it matters.

“A growing share of security incidents stem from compromised or unverified access.”2

Confidence When It Counts

When a vault is released following the passing of the vault owner, it’s not just about accessing information; it’s about ensuring nothing important is lost, overlooked, or delayed.

Identity verification helps support that process by:

  • Confirming that who is accessing the vault is the person you selected, not someone who simply knows credentials
  • Reducing potential delays or confusion
  • Helping ensure sensitive, personal documents and details are available when they’re needed

Make sure the right people can access what matters, clearly, confidently, and when it counts most.

Built With Intention

This isn’t just about adding a feature. It’s about how we approach building the platform as a whole.

From the way information is organized to how access is managed, every layer is designed with care because of the responsibility that comes with what we’re protecting. That includes partnering with trusted, best-in-class providers like CLEAR to strengthen critical moments like identity verification.

A Better Definition of Prepared

Being prepared isn’t just having everything in one place.

It’s knowing that when the moment comes, the right person can step in with clarity and confidence and nothing important is lost. Because when everything you’ve built is on the line… there shouldn’t be any doubt.

“Preparation only works if it holds up in real life.”
